At the shelter the volunteers are crucial in keeping things running smoothly, taking excellent care of all the special cats, and supporting each other in the CCS mission.

Featured Volunteer - Melody
Melody spends time with CCS cleaning and serving as an important foster family for many of the cats who for various reasons can't be at the shelter. Melody has been successful with fostering many litters of kittens. In 2012 she fostered a mother cat with a litter of 5 kittens with distemper and is no stranger to bottle feedings. She has had many favorite cat moments as she fostered Zarah and Trinity after major medical surgeries and many kittens that needed extra care. She worked with one cat that had wobbly kitten syndrome as was thrilled when a good home was found. Melody has been with CCS since they first opened and enjoys working with all the cats and volunteers. She lives with her husband and their 5 cats, Daffy, Wolly Girl, Pow, Becker and Jasper. When she isn't busy at the shelter she enjoys sewing and running. Based on the pictures she sent in I'm sure she gets in her fair share of running just keeping up with all her furry friends.
