During the month of May, CCS would like to bring awareness to the plight of black cats. We will share some facts and myths about black cats as well as pictures of black cats that are available for adoption.
Some cultures view black cats as good luck, including in the
U.K.
- Unfortunately, many in the U.S. consider them
the opposite, and will take measures to avoid crossing the path of a black
kitty. Sadly, this unfounded fear means
black cats relinquished to animal shelters have a much harder time finding
forever homes.
