At the shelter the volunteers are crucial in keeping things
running smoothly, taking excellent care of all the special cats, and supporting
each other in the CCS mission.
Here’s a little bit about Katie.
Katie helps clean at the shelter and fosters cats when needed. Her favorite
cat moment is getting love nips on the chin as the cat rubs his/her head on her
neck - and then if the cat reaches up to gently set his/her paw on her cheek-
there's nothing better! Frosty, one of the shelter cats who is now in his
forever home, was the best cat for that and she hopes he's loving up his new
owners that way! Katie has a career as a
Student Experience Coordinator with Sanford health. When she isn’t hard at work or at CCS she loves puzzles, reading
and yoga. In addition to her 3 dogs she has a husband named Vance, who is
a very tolerant man where her animal obsessions are concerned. Katie strongly supports the
CCS mission and greatly admires and respects the directors who brought the
shelter to life and keep it going each and every day with no monetary
compensation. She considers herself lucky to be able to be a part of such fabulous
organization!”
